VEGA is a software platform developed as a standalone application (in Java). It allows the user to apply several eco-toxicological QSAR models. VEGA has ben developed inside a project led by Istituto di Ricerche Farmacologiche Mario Negri, and is freely available.

With VEGA it is possible to quickly produce a wide set of predicitions for eco-toxicological end points such as carcinogenicity, mutagenicity (Ames test), fish toxicity, BCF, persistence, LogP. The results are given in different forms, including a complete PDF report, containing all the needed information for an evaluation of the provided predictions (such as the list of the similar compounds with available experimental data).

VEGA is distributed under an open source license and it is freely downloadable from its official website.
